Bio:

I was a Psychology major in college who backed into a computer job when working at a Derivatives Trading Firm. I am a left brain geek who generally has to be forced to do outdoorsy things (although, I am usually happy and proud when it is all over). I love getting on stage to perform improv comedy. I mix many different flavors of cereals in morning. I'm a Dog person and a blood donor. As far as childhood goes, I think of falling asleep in front of Monday Night Football on deep golden shag carpeting, wondering what was going to be for dinner and if mom would try to have me drink my milk without chocolate. I think of School House Rock and how the grammar segments were more thought provoking then the math ones, and Thundar the Barbarian and how cool that guy was, and a banana seat bicycle with one of those bright orange flippy-flappy safety flags.

Expertise:

I perform various leadership roles within the IT industry as consultant, architect, lead developer and project manager. On numerous occasions, I have taken on positions in high-pressure, deadline-driven engagements using numerous technologies, and have led geographically dispersed teams varying in size from 6 to 200 through the entire life cycle. I have experience in multiple industries including: financial markets, automotive, and insurance. I am often responsible for the design of all the components of a newly architected solution and have created from scratch n-tier web sites (intranet, extranet, and internet). System integration and data architecture are two of my specialties. My hands-on coding experience includes: SQL, java, html, asp, jsp, c, VB, and other languages. My main goal is to continue to participate in IBM's drive to be a great software, hardware and services company emphasizing integrity, leadership, and innovation. My specialties include: application analysis, application design, application development, data architecture, team leadership, rapid application development methodologies (agile), design patterns, full life cycle management, high-pressure customer engagements, n-tier web architecture, new technologies, multiple platform integration, extremely large databases, web 2.0 technologies, services oriented architecture (SOA), and ERP integration.
